About HTML to PDF Converter
This tool converts raw HTML — pasted directly or uploaded as a file, including any CSS in <style> tags — into a print-ready PDF document. Choose your page size, orientation, margin, and rendering quality, then preview the result before downloading. All rendering happens locally in your browser; your HTML is never uploaded to a server.
How This Works, and What to Expect
This tool renders your HTML the way a browser would display it, takes a high-resolution image of that rendered result, and places that image into a PDF — conceptually similar to taking a screenshot and printing it, rather than generating a document with real, selectable text. This is a deliberate, unavoidable trade-off of doing this entirely in your browser without a server: reliably preserving real, selectable text while handling arbitrary CSS layout is a much harder problem, and getting it wrong risks producing a broken-looking PDF, which is worse than a faithful image-based one.
In practice, this means: text in the output cannot be selected, searched, or copied, and file sizes are larger than a text-based PDF. Most standard HTML and CSS renders well, but content that depends on JavaScript to build itself, external fonts or resources that fail to load, or highly complex/experimental CSS layouts, may not appear exactly as intended — the preview step lets you check and adjust before downloading. For simple documents, reports, and formatted text, this approach works well; if you specifically need selectable text in the final PDF, this tool isn't the right fit for that requirement.
