About HEIC to JPG Converter

This tool converts HEIC/HEIF photos — the default photo format on iPhone since iOS 11 — into standard JPG files that open everywhere, including Windows, Android, and older software. Drop in one photo or a whole batch, and each one converts automatically; download them individually or all at once as a ZIP file. All conversion happens locally in your browser; your photos are never uploaded to a server.

Why iPhone Photos Won't Open on Windows or Android

Since iOS 11, iPhones save photos in HEIC (High Efficiency Image Container) by default instead of JPG. HEIC compresses photos more efficiently than JPG, meaning better quality at roughly half the file size — great for saving storage on your phone. The tradeoff is compatibility: HEIC support has to be built into an app or operating system to work, and while macOS and recent Windows versions (with an extension installed) can view HEIC, most Android devices, older Windows PCs, and many websites and apps still can't open it directly. Converting to JPG — a format supported everywhere images are used — solves that problem, at the cost of some of the storage savings HEIC provided.
