About the Blur / Pixelate Image Tool

This tool lets you censor one or more areas of a photo — faces, license plates, documents, screens, or any sensitive detail — by covering them with a blur or pixelation effect. Draw a box over each area you want to hide, adjust the effect and intensity, and a live preview updates automatically. Once you're happy with the result, download the censored image. Everything happens locally in your browser; your original photo is never uploaded anywhere.

Getting a Censored Area Truly Unreadable

A light blur or a pixelation with large blocks can sometimes still be reversed or guessed, especially for simple content like license plate numbers with a limited set of possible characters — so when the goal is genuinely hiding sensitive information (not just a stylistic effect), it's safer to use a stronger intensity than feels necessary, and to double-check the result at full size before sharing. It's also worth remembering that this tool only affects the pixels you export — if you share the original, unedited photo anywhere else, the sensitive detail is still fully visible in that copy.
