About SVG to PNG Converter
This tool converts SVG (Scalable Vector Graphics) files into PNG images at any resolution you choose — upload a file or paste SVG code directly. Because SVGs are vector-based, you can export them at any size without losing quality, unlike resizing a raster image. Choose a transparent background to keep it usable anywhere, or a solid color for platforms that don't support transparency. All conversion happens locally in your browser; your SVG is never uploaded to a server.
SVG vs. PNG: When to Use Each
SVG describes an image as mathematical shapes and paths rather than a grid of pixels, so it can be scaled to any size — from a tiny favicon to a giant billboard — with no loss of sharpness, and file sizes are often tiny for simple graphics like icons and logos. PNG, being pixel-based, is fixed at whatever resolution it was exported at, but it's universally supported everywhere images are used, including places that don't accept SVG for security or compatibility reasons — many upload forms, older software, and some social platforms only accept raster formats. Converting an SVG to PNG at the exact resolution you need is a common step when a design tool exports SVG but the destination only accepts PNG.
