About Text Alphabetizer / Sorter
This tool sorts a block of text, one line at a time, either alphabetically (A to Z or Z to A) or by how long each line is (shortest to longest, or the other way around). Paste your list, pick a sort order, and the result updates automatically. All processing happens locally in your browser; your text is never uploaded to a server.
Tips
Leave "Trim whitespace" on in most cases, since stray spaces at the start of a line can otherwise shift where it lands alphabetically. Turn on "Case sensitive" only if you specifically want uppercase and lowercase letters treated as different characters when sorting (by default, "Apple" and "apple" are treated the same for ordering purposes). When two lines are exactly tied — the same length, for example — their original relative order is always preserved rather than shuffled, so re-sorting the same list repeatedly always gives you a consistent, predictable result.
